Last year I traveled through East Africa, and like any cliche Westerner, I fell in love. Being there is hard, seeing the disparities and struggles of the countries and people I visited. But one thing is certain, amidst all that chaos and poverty is something warmer. A sort of contentment, a genuine smile, a peace, that our Western culture doesn't understand - or has perhaps forgotten. In this series I attempted to capture some of that warmth, in the people, wildlife and scenes that I witnessed. I am certain I failed, because who can capture magic?
